For our movie and game rental retail business in Canada, Blockbuster Canada Co. (“Blockbuster Canada” or “we”) operates hundreds of stores as well as a website at www.Blockbuster.ca (“Site”) that supports our stores. We are committed to protecting the personal information of persons visiting our Canadian stores (“Customers”) and users of our Canadian Site (“Users”). To that end, we offer this Privacy Policy to inform our Customers and Users (referred to individually, or collectively, as “you”) of how we collect, use and disclose your personal information. How Do We Use Personal Information?

Use of Personal Information for our Internal Business Purposes. Blockbuster Canada uses the personal information you provide for the purposes for which it was provided, for example, to process an order; to record your rental of a product and its return date; to collect debts and recover overdue rental products; to notify you that you have won a contest or sweepstakes; to respond to your inquiries; or to contact you or send you information about your membership. Blockbuster Canada also uses your personal information to administer and manage our business, to improve our Site and to better understand your needs and to improve the products, benefits, and services that Blockbuster Canada may offer to you.

Use of Personal Information for Blockbuster Canada’s Direct Marketing. Transfer of Personal Information to Third Party Goods and Services Providers. Disclosures attendant to a Merger or Acquisition. If Blockbuster Canada or its assets are acquired by another company, your personal information may be disclosed to the acquiring company to allow it to fulfil your order or provide the products, services or information that Blockbuster Canada would otherwise provide to you and generally to carry on the Blockbuster Canada business. Does the Blockbuster Canada Site utilize Cookie Technology?

Blockbuster Canada utilizes cookie technology to make your use of the Site more convenient. A cookie is a piece of information that is transferred to a User's hard drive for record-keeping purposes. Specifically, Blockbuster Canada uses cookies to remember your email address and Membership/Rewards number. With this information stored locally on your computer as cookies, you will not have to login each time you visit the site or re-enter your Rewards/Blockbuster number to check your Rewards status.
